Medicaid, Irrevocable Trusts and the Nursing Home Lien

Did you know that Medicare does NOT pay for long-term care in your home or in a nursing home?
And, your REVOCABLE Trust does not protect your assets against the costs of nursing home care.
At this presentation, Attorney Donald H. Sienkiewicz will explain:

▪the key differences between MediCARE and MedicAID
▪what each covers – and what each does NOT
▪Medicaid’s three tests to qualify you for long-term care cost coverage
▪how the five-year “look-back” works
▪the three ways to pay for long-term care, including insurance
▪the asset and income limits imposed on a Medicaid recipient
▪the asset and income allowances for a SPOUSE of a Medicaid recipient
▪how lawyers use Irrevocable Trusts to protect assets for your spouse, children or
other beneficiaries while still allowing you to qualify for Medicaid payment of your long-term care costs

There will be time for questions and answers.

There is no cost for this class, but you must register here in advance as seating in the classroom is limited.

Medicaid Irrevocable Trust: How to Spot the Broken Ones, and How to Fix Them

Medicaid Irrevocable Trusts are powerful tools that can preserve assets for your clients where long-term care insurance is not an option or they want more coverage than they are willing or able to purchase.
